ALM Builders was formed in 1983, as a commercial contracting division of our parent company, Associated Lumber Marts, Inc.

Mark, Glenn, and Bob We are experienced and specialized in wood frame structures varying from multi-family apartments, cooperative housing complexes to banks, churches, and single family houses. Over the past 22 years we have extended our construction activity to include projects such as car washes, manufacturing facilities, ice arenas, fire stations, and other various steel buildings. We are an authorized builder for American Buildings Company (pre-engineered steel buildings).

Our list of projects is long - consisting of over 500 projects since ALM Builders was founded. In the past years we have completed projects in contracts ranging from $18,000.00 to $5 million.

We can furnish, upon request, an AIA A305 Contractor's Qualification Statement to those who are interested in having us as their next General Contractor.

It is our mission to focus on the customer as being the most important asset to our company. We want to provide exceptional value, dedicated, friendly and helpful staff; and it is our pledge to do everything we can to make your project a success.



WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT We are a general contractor and one of our basic functions is construction management. We subcontract out all of our labor, thus keeping our overhead low. We do, however, work with a number of carpenters, cement masons, and block layers who work almost exclusively for us, thus giving us the advantage of working with people we know and trust.



What we can do:
  • Run projects in a construction manager mode, yet under a general contractor format to facilitate fast-tracking and phased projects.
  • Handle several projects at one time, no matter how many phases, subcontractors or vendors.
  • Work as one entity with our parent company and lumber yard, Associated Lumber Marts, giving us the advantage of additional support when needed.
  • Build projects on a stipulated or fixed contract amount. However, we can also work on cost plus, with our fee being fixed, not to exceed, or a percentage of the work.
  • Work with both architects and owners on design, development and value engineering.
  • Design and build residential and non-commercial projects using the latest computer technology.
  • Establish a flexible contract procedure that best suits our clients.
